Nail Art 7: Floral

November 9, 2010

I must say, this one’s a personal favorite.  I might not want to remove this forever! Haha. Took me 3 hrs for this, but I think is shorter than usual. Spent a lot of time blending colors, that’s why, I blended for the perfect green color. Again, these are all handpainted, didn’t use any nail art machine or sticker or something 😛

What you need:

  • Lavender Nail Polish (You may also try Baby Blue or Pastel Light Green)
  • Pink Nail Polish (You may also try Peach)
  • Red Nail Polish
  • Green Nail Polish (You may also use nail art polish)
  • No. 2 Paint Brush (Yes, I used the one sold in School Supplies Store ‘coz Nail Art brush are too expensive. Quality isn’t compromised in this one)
  • Paper
  • Base Coat
  • Top Coat
What to do:
  1. Start with a Base Coat then paint the entire nail with Lavender Nail Polish.
  2. Using the Pink Nail Polish, create medium dots (about 3-5, depending on your nail size). Be careful on the thickness of the polish. Keep it thin.
  3. Put a small drop of Red Nail Polish on the paper, dip the paintbrush and carefully draw strokes on the pink dot. Per per dot: Put one line at the top, one at the center (side part, keep it thinner than the first one) then one at the bottom.
  4. Put a small drop of Green Nail Polish on the paper, dip the paintbrush and carefully draw strokes for the leaves (maximum of two).
  5. Apply Top Coat.
Done! Floral Garden planted. Enjoy! Let me know what you think!

Nail Art 6: Vampire

October 28, 2011

Something to set the mood for halloween, tried to create Vampire nails = EPIC FAIL! They looked like a man with a crazy mouth! Hahahaha! I will keep them anyways. Time wasted: 1 hour and 30 minutes. But hey, I am improving! (compared to my usual 3 hour-work) Lol.

What you need:

  • Black Nail Art Polish (the one with thin brush)
  • Lavender Nail Polish
  • White Nail Polish
  • Bobby Pin
  • Paper
  • Base Coat
  • Top Coat
How to do it:
  1. Apply Base Coat. Cover the whole nail with lavender polish.
  2. Carefully paint the hair using the black nail art polish.
  3. For the eyes, get the white nail polish and dot carefully. For the inner eye, dot using the tip of the black nail art polish.
  4. Work with the fangs now using the black nail art polish. Be careful on painting.
That’s it! You have your vampire now. Happy Halloween everyone! I know this one has a lot of flaws but I still want to know what you think. =)
